Garbage: Copy / Paste.
I was invited to design a limited-edition vinyl for Garbage’s Copy/Paste release, created exclusively for Record Store Day. The brief was simple but wide open: design something that felt raw, unfiltered, and bold - without losing the band's identity.
I focused on blending texture and restraint. The cover features a minimal white field partially consumed by chaotic black brushwork, a nod to both decay and permanence. Over that, the band name is stamped in distressed pink, referencing the visual energy of xerox art and punk-era packaging. The "COPY/PASTE" subtitle is literally overlaid, as if added at the last minute - a wink at the remix nature of the release.
The bold pink vinyl pressed for the edition amplifies the impact, turning the physical record itself into part of the visual statement. No polish, no gloss - just something tactile, immediate, and unmistakably Garbage. I was also honoured to create the official visualiser for a track titled "Song to the Siren."
Though rooted in the past, these print projects taught me everything about structure, hierarchy, and rhythm. Each layout was a lesson in clarity - a foundation I carry into every screen-based work.

My creative journey began in the world of print - designing posters, editorial layouts, advertising, merchandise, and packaging for both commercial and entertainment clients. From CD sleeves and vinyl covers to magazine spreads and campaigns, these early projects taught me how to shape messages through form, texture, and typography. Whether it was for an international brand or an underground release, I approached each brief with the same visual intensity. These tactile pieces still inform how I think about image-making today - not just as surface, but as something that can carry weight, provoke curiosity, and leave a lasting imprint.
